SPIRITUAL FATHERHOOD

The concept of spiritual fatherhood has been manipulated and misunderstood in Christianity. Our spiritual fathers just like our natural fathers are in a position of authority and should help us fulfill God's plan for our lives.It is not a relationship of servitude as is often the practice today. A spiritual son should have a respectful yet equal relationship with the father. But to perpetually remain in a subservient position is an error. Only God, Our Father should be above all and all things. The desire of any father is for a son to outgrow him and do better and the joy of a son is to fulfill that desire. Let us put a stop to spiritual servitude that retards the individual expression of our personality and God's purpose for our lives.
